Fellowship Applications Now Being Accepted

SIT Graduate Institute and INTERLINK Language Centers are now accepting applications from candidates for two-year teaching fellowships to begin June 21, 2009.

All qualified candidates will receive the Fellowship.


Successful applicants must meet both SIT’s requirements for the MA in Teaching and Saudi INTERLINK Language Center’s teaching qualifications.

SIT’s qualifications (Employment requirement is waived.)

INTERLINK’s qualifications (Graduate degree requirement is waived.)


June – August 2009. Courses at SIT.

September 2009 – May 2010. Teaching at Al-Yamamah University.

June – August 2010. Courses at SIT.

September 2010 – May 2011. Teaching at Al-Yamamah University while completing final degree project.


SIT and INTERLINK pay 50% of fellows’ tuitions.  The Fellows pay the other half of tuition plus fees, and personal and living expenses while at SIT.

Beyond the tuition benefit, Fellows are paid a monthly stipend of $2,333 during the teaching year, plus furnished housing, international and local transportation, and health insurance.

During the second year of teaching, Fellows’ salaries range from $36,000-$38,000 with a $2,000 salary increase (bonus) when degree requirements are completed.

Approximate value of the second year salary is $50,000 with salary increases and bonuses for each year completed as a  full-time faculty member following the second summer of course work.  (For example: Year Two: 12%, Year Three: 13%, etc.)
