SIT INTERLINK Fellowship Extended

SIT and INTERLINK Language Centers are delighted to announce an extension of their new fellowship enrolling master’s degree candidates with full-time paid teaching positions at Al-Yamamah College.

Applications are being accepted now for the fellowship beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Fellowship Benefits

  • Half of the Fellows’ tuition will be paid by INTERLINK and SIT
  • Beyond the tuition benefit, Fellows will be paid a starting salary of $28,000 per annum, untaxed by Saudi Arabia, plus furnished housing, international and local transportation, and health insurance
  • Approximate value is $50,000 with salary increases and bonuses for each year completed as full-time faculty members (Year One: 11%, Year Two: 12%, etc.) following the second summer of course work
  • During the second year, Fellows will start as full-time faculty at starting salaries of $36,000-$38,000 with a $2,000 bonus when degree requirements are completed
  • The Fellows’ only expenses in Saudi Arabia will be food, utilities, and personal expenses

Fellowship Schedule

Sep 2008 – Dec 2008 Courses at SIT in Brattleboro, Vermont
Dec 2008 – May 2009 Teaching at Saudi INTERLINK Language Center, Al Yamamah
Jun 2009 – Aug 2009 Courses at SIT
Sep 2009 – May 2010 Teaching at SILC, plus final degree requirements
